The Pierre Hotel is a chic five-star hotel that is located on Fifth Avenue. It is an architectural symbol of the city. Not far from the hotel are such city attractions as Rockefeller Center, Cornegy Hall, Lincoln Center, the Museum of Modern Art and the magnificent Central Park. The hotel building is constructed of cream-colored bricks and granite, and is topped by a tall copper tower. The hotel first opened its doors to guests in 1930.

Since its opening, The Pierre Hotel has become a fashionable New York City hotel. The hotel was named in honor of its creator Charles Pierre Casalasco, who considered refinement and simplicity to be the main principles of the hotel. Throughout the XX century The Pierre Hotel changed owners and was rebuilt several times, but retained a special atmosphere of romanticism. In 1959 75 apartments were bought by a joint-stock company and given to private owners, among whom were Mohammed Al-Fayed, Elizabeth Taylor, Yves Saint Laurent.

After the renovation, some of the residences have been transformed back into luxury personalized rooms. Scenes for Hollywood movies have been filmed at The Pierre Hotel: “The Concierge” with Michael J. Fox and “Scent of a Woman” with Al Pacino. Very often the hotel becomes a place where weddings are held. The Cotillion Room, the Grand Ballroom and The Rotunda Room are used for this purpose. The last room has hosted many famous writers and politicians such as Boris Yeltsin, François Mitterrand, Helmut Kohl, John Grisham, Stephen King and many other TV and movie stars. In 2009, after a global renovation, the hotel opened its doors to guests once again. In addition to updating the hotel’s guest rooms, the hotel opened a new restaurant and bar, which quickly became trendy establishments in New York City.

The hotel features a fitness center, health club, meeting and banquet rooms, gift store, business center and more.
